When Ishmael returned to the farm in January of 2021, there was extensive damage to the house and the outdoor kitchen hut. Also, the solar panel was smashed and the battery sets, some farm supplies, and manuscripts were stolen.
Ishmael and the team at the farm immediately set to work planting corn and beans, and looked into finding someone who could help us repair the house.
After some trouble with finding a builder, God sent us workers who were trustworthy and did excellent work.
Finally, the work could begin on fixing the house! The workers patched the places where rain had eaten through the concrete on the walls and the floor, and fixed the roof so the rain couldn’t get in again. The finished job looks amazing!
If you can believe it, this is the same wall as the second picture on this page…
The top of the walls is patched! And look at that nice, new roof!
The new floor!
The windows are still broken, but the roof is fixed!
The next step is to paint the walls and put up new solar panels on the roof, but now the house is finally safe to live in, and it is so much more snake resistant! We thank God for his providence, and for sending an excellent worker our way.
